Our skin is covered with follicles and hair starts growing at the bottom of a hair follicle.

The hair needs nutrients to grow. Nutrients and oxygen for hair growth is supplied to the hair by the blood.

  - Genetics: if your parents or any close relative have long hair then there's is probability that you'll have long hair.
